A couple weeks ago we took Masha on her first road trip to meet a few of my Luther friends and their families in Madison. It so happens that Amanda, Micah, and Manda also gave birth to new babies this year (in that order), and they brought their babies, older kids, and husbands along for the ride. We all went out for lunch and then spent the afternoon at the Henry Vilas Zoo. Afterwards Ilya, Masha and I spent the night with Micah, her husband Brad, and beautiful baby Maia, who live in Madison. It was so fun to see everyone and it made me wish that we all lived closer so that we could get together more often. I am hoping that it will become an annual tradition! (What do you say, girls?)
Here Masha is ready for some lunch! Notice the Luther College shirt that, sadly, had to be changed after a run-in with her sippy cup. I made it out of one of my old Luther shirts.
Show us the wild animals!
Flamingo hair
Masha is very impressed by her papa's "wingspan"...
Mom's isn't bad, either!
We saw a hawk on Micah and Brad's deck!
On our way home we stopped in Chicago to say hi to Great Aunt Patty and do some shopping at Ikea. Masha had lots of fun playing in the ball pit.
See more fun pics at Micah and Brad's blog!
