Recently we attended our childbirth class at the hospital. It was a Saturday marathon crash course that unfortunately got cut short due to bad weather, but was very informative and entertaining. Luckily we got our money's worth in the first ten minutes watching the famous Bill Cosby skit on natural childbirth...
...which we will, to Ilya's dismay, not be attempting. :) Interestingly enough, we learned that the Lamaze method of breathing is no longer officially taught. Instead we were instructed in "paced breathing". It seems to basically be the same thing but without the "hee hee hoooos". Hopefully the epidural will kick in before I need any of it.
The cats seem to be okay with the slowly accumulating piles of baby clothes and gear. We're not really sure how they're going to react to having a baby around. When Ilya first got Simon from the animal shelter, his name was "Psycho," which is a pretty fair estimation of his personality. In any case, he sure likes snow...
