How NOT to Study for USMLE Step 2 CK.... |
(click on title to read entire post and comments) |
So USMLE step 2 CK is steadily approaching...only 3 weeks to go. Derm is up next so now is the perfect opportunity to get a few extra hours of studying in before my sub-I starts. Of course as soon as I actually need to hunker down and DO something important...I find a new project to start. Or a few in fact. I recently bought a copy of Natural Knits for Babies and Moms and can't keep my hands off it. I've already cranked out several pairs of baby booties and matching mittens in KnitPicks Wool of the Andes.
The bump sweater is already well under way in Andean Silk Cornflower.
And just the other day I got another shipment of Crayon in Burnt Sienna for the leafy lace shawl, and Shine Worsted in Cream for the nursing sweater. This is my first time knitting with Crayon and I love it - it is 100% Pima cotton and ohhhh so soft. I am knitting 2 strands together to make it super bulky so the shawl is flying by on #15 needles. Who knew knitting lace could be so much fun?
I also recently dusted off the poor "manly sweater" from Stitch 'N Bitch that I almost finished in time to give to my husband for Christmas last year (also in Wool of the Andes). Maybe I'll finish by Christmas this year?
I'm beginning to wonder exactly how feasible it is to have so many projects going at once...at least it keeps boredom at bay. Hopefully I will be bored enough at some point by sheer knitting the next few weeks that I'll be tempted to pick up Boards and Wards again...
