Buchkins in NOLA

Last week we drove down to New Orleans for a family vacation! Several of my colleagues and I met there for a conference and Ilya and Masha came along for the fun. Masha was a trooper in the car for 15 hours each way. Ilya and Masha had a great time at the aquarium, insectarium, and on a ferry ride while I was at the conference. Here are some photos from the trip:

We were lucky to be there the same week as Jazz Fest and got to see several live Jazz concerts. Masha is a fan!



I got away from the conference to come to the zoo, too!



But apparently it was nap time and most of the animals were sleeping.



On the last day we strolled through Jackson Square in the French Quarter and feasted on boiled crawfish.



Yum.



Masha decided after all of this that she wouldn't mind being a Southerner after all. :)
